Most probable online activities: chatting, conversing, or even video conferencing with family and friends via instant messenger programs (Skype, Yahoo! Mesenger, MSN Messenger, etc.); emailing or posting those holiday photos to online albums; logging in to check or update your online profiles at social networking websites such as Facebook, Multiply, MySpace, Friendster, Plurk, etcetera; blogging – to name a few.
Obviously, I was also reading Gizmodo.com. I came across a nifty article: How To Use Your New Digital Camera.
I’ve had our home LAN running error-free off a Linksys EtherFast Cable/DSL Router with 4-port Switch (Model No. BEFSR41 ver. 3) for a couple of years now. I am very happy and satisfied with the way the unit has proven to be basically a one-off “setup and forget” type of gadget. With two laptops now in the household that are capable of wireless networking, it was high-time to invest in a wireless router that should keep our LAN golden for another couple of years.
I decided to step-up our LAN to Wireless-N. Here are unboxing photos of our new, “absolutely cool” Linksys Ultra RangePlus Wireless-N Broadband Router (WRT160N). The new, black, slick, and shiny design/style of which reminds me of Darth Vader.
