To those not in the know, klutz is Yiddish for “clumsy dolt”.

You did WHAT to my car?!! You’re such a klutz!! / You klutz!!

Maybe the owner meant to derive from “clutch”.

Spotted on Quezon Avenue this morning:

Ang Daming Daan

It’s a pun on Ang Dating Daan, which translates to “The Old Path” or “the old way(s)”. On the jepeney’s mudguard, it means, “the many paths/ways/roads”.

Having built right on the property line (if not beyond), with a window facing the street, and being situated along a six-lane National Road, I do not think these people are in any position to make such a demand:

“May natutulog sa loob hwag bumosina”

Here’s where I scored dinner last night, after a haircut and while waiting for the car’s wax job to finish nearby. At first glance, it’s impossible not to be amused that someone has actually opened a little eatery called “Patay Gutom” – literal term used to describe a person suffering a dire hunger or need, and it has a disparaging and derogatory connotation beyond the literal meaning and is used to belittle or insult someone.
