Hiring: Elf Driver

Hoping not to spoil it for those not in the know, what the sign really means is that they are looking for a driver for an Isuzu Elf – a line of light-duty commercial trucks produced by Isuzu. Outside Japan it is known as N-series.

My elf image was created with the help of Go Elf Yourself, courtesy of Office Max. It allows you to turn yourself into an Elf. All you need to do is upload your photo and you’re an instant “elf driver”.

There’s even an Elf Yourself Photo Pool on Flickr full of people Elfing themselves.

Toyota Revos

After the sun went down, we proceeded to the nearby Pier One to quench our thirst and satisfy appetites brought about by discussions on our beloved Revos.

Happy people Chico and D (no, not Delamar) tagged along, too.

Pier One’s vodka and blue curacao concoction strikes again! Yummy. It looks like (and may just be as potent as) Romulan Ale to me.

Klutz Motor Works

To those not in the know, klutz is Yiddish for “clumsy dolt”.

You did WHAT to my car?!! You’re such a klutz!! / You klutz!!

Maybe the owner meant to derive from “clutch”.

Ang Daming Daan

It’s a pun on Ang Dating Daan, which translates to “The Old Path” or “the old way(s)”. On the jepeney’s mudguard, it means, “the many paths/ways/roads”.
